从事诗歌写作很多年后,我才明白,随意想象是容易的,对一个具体内容进行精确描写和处理,难度却大得多。《红楼梦》之所以伟大,就在于经得起各种考证,无论风俗、史实和人物心理等等细节皆精准到千锤百炼的程度,我并不认为曹雪芹在虚构一个故事,他实际上在处理一个家族兴衰的题材。非凡的文学大师:应既是语言创造者,又是完美的工匠,天赋与技术合一。巴金也写过相同题材的《家》,可他写作的核心并不是如何缓慢地去处理繁杂的内容,而是用内容为他的抒情服务,因此写作本身退到了不很重要的位置。
