After more than half a century of development, the EU has become the regional economic and political community with the highest integration and strongest comprehensive strength in the world today. The success of the European Union has not only enhanced the overall economic, political and international influence of the region, but also provided a model and experience for regional integration and integration. However, at the same time, with the acceleration of economic globalization and unprecedented global competition, European countries seem to be gradually losing their vitality. Especially since the financial crisis, the EU economy has been hit hard. The rise of internal economic nationalism and the fragmentation of the pessimism of the European Union (EU) over the future of the EU have been hindered by the fragmentation of the Lisbon Treaty in 2008. Combined with the actual impact of the financial crisis on the EU, this article explores the EU’s future mainly from the deep motivation of the European Union and the reverse stimulus of the European integration caused by the financial crisis.
