“异质性”维度在两种重复理论中的体现——从希利斯·米勒的《小说和重复》谈起

在20世纪多元文化背景下,文学批评理论经历了从结构主义到后结构主义再到解构主义的演变,而语言在这一进程中成了文学研究的主要对象。作为解构主义“耶鲁学派”的代表人物,希利斯·米勒始终关注文本细读与意义的阐释,在对德里达的“延异”观兼收并蓄的基础上,他进一步提出了“异质性假说”。米勒用“异质性”这一关键词串联起其多部文学理论著作,包括《小说与重复》《阅读伦理学》和《解读叙事》等,旨在通过修辞、重复和叙事的相关理论来揭示文学作品中的异质性,从而体现文本的多样性和文本发生的无源性。这种多样性表现为文本中明显地存在着多种潜在的意义,它们相互有序地联系在一起,受文本的制约,但在逻辑上又各不相容。在解构批评方法之下,这种文本多样性恰恰揭示了文本阐释的多样性和无限性。本文以米勒所著《小说与重复:七部英国小说》为依据,从异质性角度对重复理论进行了深入探讨:总结了重复理论的发展脉络,罗列了重复理论的几种分类方法。从性质上看,重复可以分为“柏拉图式”和“尼采式”重复,前者是同质性重复,后者是异质性重复;两种重复相反相成,永远纠结在一起;两种重复的差异运动构建了文学作品中的所有成分。据此,作者试图证明“异质性”是米勒文学理论的基本设想,也是其解构逻各斯中心主义形而上学的理论依据,并在文章结尾部分阐释了米勒的异质性假说在全球化背景下的现实意义。 Under the multicultural background of the 20th century, the theory of literary criticism has undergone an evolution from structuralism to post-structuralism to deconstruction, and language has become the main target of literary studies in this process. As a representative of deconstructionism and “Yale School”, 希利斯米勒 always pays close attention to the interpretation of the meaning and the reading of the text. On the basis of integrating Derrida’s “Difference”, he further proposed Heterogeneous Hypothesis. Miller uses “heterogeneity” as a key word to concatenate many literary works, including “novels and repetitions”, “reading ethics” and “reading narratives”, which aims at using rhetoric, repetition and narrative Related theories to reveal the heterogeneity in literary works, thus reflecting the diversity of texts and the passiveness of texts. This diversity is manifested by the apparent existence of multiple potential meanings in texts, which are linked to each other in an orderly manner, subject to textual constraints but logically incompatible. Under the method of deconstruction and criticism, this kind of textual diversity just reveals the diversity and infinity of textual interpretation. Based on Miller’s novels and repetitions: seven British novels, this dissertation explores the theory of repetition from the perspective of heterogeneity. It summarizes the development of repetition theory and lists several classification methods of repetition theory. From a qualitative point of view, the repetition can be divided into “Platonic” and “Nietzsche” repetitions, the former is homogeneous repetition, the latter is heterogeneous duplication; two repetitions opposite phase, always tangled together; two The repetitive differential movement builds up all the elements of the literary work. Accordingly, the author attempts to prove that “Heterogeneity ” is the basic assumption of Miller’s literary theory and also the theoretical basis for his deconstruction of logocentric metaphysics. At the end of this article, Miller’s heterogeneous hypothesis is explained The realistic meaning under the background of globalization.
