The manager's domination of the company has been globalized. Until 1930, there were 65% of the 200 largest U.S. companies and 80% of the total assets were dominated by the operators. According to Lerner (1963), by the early 1960s, the assets of the operator-run companies accounted for 85% of the total assets of 200 non-financial enterprises. In Japan, 50% of the 303 largest non-financial corporations in 1970 and 90% of the 29 largest financial institutions are dominated by operators. 43.75% out of the 250 largest companies in the United Kingdom in 1975 and 52% of Germany's largest manufacturing and commercial enterprises in 1971 were dominated by operators.
