解放以来,为了落实毛主席关于“绿化祖国”、“实行大地园林化”的伟大号召,我和广坪公社的贫下中农一起,坚持实践的观点,实行科学造林,共营造了杉木林2.4万多亩,其中连片的1.4万亩。木材蓄积量由1966年的80万立方米增加到110万立方米。杉木成林期由过去30多年缩短到15-20年。每亩产材量由过去的7-8立方米,提高到20立方米左右。共向国家提供木材20万立方米,杉木良种82,000斤,还有松脂、茶油、桐油等林产品。
