中国第一部真正意义上的歌剧是由延安鲁迅艺术学院集全体师生之力合作完成,由当地的民间故事演变而来,随着歌剧《白毛女》的诞生,中国歌剧迎来了新的曙光。《白毛女》几经周折、反复修改,使之剧中的形象更具有人格魅力。在创作上,歌剧《白毛女》是在继承民族化,力求在“以中为体,西学为用”为核心,在文学上添入更多的对民族艺术的理解,使得整部歌剧集诗、歌、舞三者相交融,拥有着相当的艺术魅力。
