本研究通过问卷调查和访谈探讨了信息技术环境下我国西部地区新建地方本科院校大学生英语学习现状。调查显示:学生英语学习的整体状况不好,被调查学生学习英语时很少利用网络资源,基于Web 2.0平台的各种虚拟社区在语言学习中的应用更少,电子工具的利用率很低。调查同时发现大多数学生并没有积极采用已经被证明有效的英语学习策略,对此,本文探究了产生上述现象的原因。
This study explores the status quo of English learning for new undergraduates in the western region of our country by means of questionnaires and interviews. The survey shows that the overall condition of students’ English learning is not good, the surveyed students rarely use network resources when learning English, and various virtual communities based on the Web 2.0 platform have less application in language learning and the utilization of electronic tools is very low. The survey also found that most students did not actively adopt the English learning strategy has been proven effective, this paper explores the reasons for the phenomenon.
