宜昌抗战是中国抗日战争的重要组成部分,它不仅关系到能否拱卫陪都重庆,保卫大后方,而且考验国民政府能否坚持抗战,建立和巩固世界反法西斯战争的东方战线。因此,宜昌抗战具有极为重要的战略地位。
Yichang’s war of resistance against Japan was an important part of China’s war of resistance against Japan. It not only related to whether it could patronize Chongqing and defend the rear area, but also tested whether the Kuomintang government could adhere to the war of resistance and establish and consolidate the eastern front of the world’s anti-fascist war.
