Over the past 30 years, significant progress has been made in cancer research. One of the most important findings is the recognition of the extent to which the environment plays a role in the development of cancer. It is estimated that 80% -90% of all cancers are caused by environmental factors, including diet and other lifestyle factors. Therefore, most cancers are preventable. Many researchers believe that the impact of diet on the incidence of cancer may be even greater than smoking. Experts estimate that 35% of cancers are caused by diet. Biology teachers should make every effort to educate students so that they understand how to reduce the risk of cancer. The following questions on the incidence of diet and cancer put forward some views.
