当今社区教育开展多种形式的教育活动为手段,以达到提高全体农村社区成员素质及生活质量为目的,从而来满足社区内所有人群的多种教育需求。为此开展农村社区教育不仅是社会需要,还是对每个人需要的完善。并且在党的十一届三中全会也提出了“终身教育”制度,因此开展农村社区教育是文明社会建设的需要,是提高农村社区文化素质的需要,更是在新世纪构建农村社区终身教育体系,形成学习化社会的需要。
