根据对几届妇幼系学生的教学实践，西安医科大学妇幼卫生系对五年制本科妇幼卫生专业开设医学遗传学的必要性、教学目的与内容，目前教学的现状以及教学中存在的问题在文章中进行了阐述。指出妇幼卫生专业应加强医学遗传学教学与课程建设，积极进行教学改革，使医学遗传学在妇幼卫生专业课程体系中发挥应有的作用。
According to the teaching practice of several women and children students, the Department of Maternal and Child Health of Xi’an Medical University established the necessity, teaching purpose and content of the medical genetics for five-year undergraduate maternity and child hygiene majors. The current status of teaching and the problems in teaching are described in the article. It is elaborated. It is pointed out that the maternity and child health professional should strengthen the teaching and curriculum construction of medical genetics and actively carry out teaching reform so that medical genetics can play its due role in the maternity and child health professional curriculum system.
