Professor Xiang Haifan of Tongji University was awarded the 2010 Robert HScanlan Award by the American Society of Civil Engineers for his outstanding contributions in the field of engineering mechanics theory and practice. At the opening ceremony of the 4th Sino-Swiss Symposium on Medicine in the Nobel Forum of Karolinska Institute in Sweden, Prof. Zeng Yixin, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Center for Oncology and Prevention of Sun Yat-sen University, was awarded a large silver medal by the Karolinska Institute of Medicine.
