在山西的日日夜夜 张友清来到山西,即刻走马上任,担任中共山西工委书记。与此同时,薄一波等一批共产党员也接受中共北方局的指示,组成党的公开工作委员会,回山西以合法身份做阎锡山及其上层人物的统战工作。张友清、薄一波这一对战友,在草岚子监狱同是支部委员,共同领导狱中斗争,现在他们又一起合作领导山西的抗日救亡工作,所不同的是,一位主持党的秘密工作,一位以公开身份与敌周旋,二人配合默契,使山西的救亡运动搞得轰轰烈烈,党的工作很快打开局面。
