丁文江(1887—1936),字在君,江苏泰兴人。他是他那个时代的风云人物,纵横于科学、政治、实业三界,皆有成就。同时代的人给予了他很高的评价。蔡元培称“精于科学而又长于办事,如在君先生,实为我国现在稀有的人物”。傅斯年说:“在君确是新时代最良善最有用的中国之代表;他是欧化中国过程中产生的最高的菁华。”德国地质学家葛利普评价:“丁君之为人,非特具有过人之能力,且有远大之眼光,弘毅之魄力与勇气,识见所及,均能力行之而成事实!”英国大科学家罗素则直言:“丁文
