Preamble This study sought to improve the high temperature performance of commercial niobium based alloys. In this study, the discussion of precipitation is not yet detailed; however, these alloys are expected to be further improved by precipitation hardening of carbon, aluminum and chromium. 28 bar-like ingots (each weighing about 150 grams) were prepared from niobium-based alloys melted in a non-consumable electric arc furnace with carbon, aluminum and chromium added to these alloys; in addition, work was done to examine the effects of the additives on the alloys Performance, oxidation resistance and mechanical properties of the test.
