The same is true for the high requirements of mechanical properties, including the uniformity of the material. The article will discuss the development and optimization of 22NiMoCr37 (A508 C1.2) to 20MnMoNi55 (A508 C1.3). This progress has been largely based on minimizing sulfur and carbon deoxidation of the vacuum, with the result that the A-deflection is reduced, the fracture toughness and isotropy are improved, and the desired fine-grained structure is obtained.
