1991年在河北省石家庄地区辛集、高邑两县市发生东亚飞蝗危害。这是自建国40年来首次发生。 辛集市8月23日在玉米田发现群居型东亚飞蝗后,查出有蝗面积11450亩,虫口密度每平方米5-10头的9100亩,50-100头的1500亩,100-300头以上的850亩。最高单株玉米上有蝗65头,单叶有蝗30余头。地面群居型蝗蝻漆黑一团,看不见地面。严重受害面积上千亩,其中有800亩玉米被吃成光秆,减产30-50％,损失玉米49000公斤。 9月12日高邑县玉米田也发现群居型东亚飞蝗。发生面积9800亩,中心发生地1100
