1937年抗战爆发前,周恩来和蒋介石秘密在杭州举行了国共两党的高级会晤。6月和7月,周恩来二上庐山与蒋介石就国共合作抗日举行了会谈,达成了《国共合作》宣言,为国共两党第二次合作和抗日统一战线形成奠定了基础。在民族危亡之际,国共两党都显示了相同的民族精神:度尽劫波兄弟在,相逢一笑泯恩仇。《促成第二次国共合作的庐山会谈》一文对此作了介绍。
Prior to the outbreak of the war in 1937, Zhou Enlai and Chiang Kai-shek secretly held a high-level meeting between the two parties in Hangzhou. In June and July, Zhou Enlai and Shang Jiangshan held talks with Jiang on the anti-Japanese cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party and reached a declaration of “cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party,” laying the foundation for the second cooperation between the KMT and the CPC and the formation of the anti-Japanese united front. On the occasion of the nation’s demise, both the Kuomintang and the Communist Party showed the same national spirit: they tried their best to fight robbery and rejoice. An article on “Lushan Talks to Promote the Second Cooperation between the KMT and the CPC” was introduced.
