If Zhang Yiman is a full-time writer, nowadays he has already been in deep trouble with the shyness of paper and ink and the unmarketable situation of falling behind. Fortunately, there are also ready-mades outside of the text that he can use to carry his intense production desires and storytelling impulses. At the “Conversation,” a collaboration between Zhang Man-Man and Anthony Marchelini on display at the Wilkinson Gallery in London, parallels with mirrored objects on the mirrored table constitute a natural revolution for reading Paragraphs, but between the lines are filled with “Somehow, just ... ” so jump in the logical words, and provocative sense of irresponsibility.
