我们的祖先在漫长的岁月中,创造了无数精美绝伦的古代建筑,也留下了许多优秀的消防科技遗产。 古代建筑,大多以木结构为主体（当然也有少数例外,如南京明孝陵的无梁殿,整个殿宇没有一根木头）,防火设计当是第一要务。古代的工匠们是怎样匠心独运,使得这些“传世之作”留传至今的呢? 近年来,笔者由于工作之便,考察了一些皖南古民居,在欣赏那些鬼斧神工的建筑造型美之余,也留意到那些高超的防火设计,以及那种种恬淡祥和、含而不露的设计风格和文化特征。
