大约在三四个月之前,有一位教语法的同志从北京回来,说是社会上刮起了一阵“淡化语法教学”的风,弄得大家手足无措,不知道如何“淡化”法。我本着平时所看到的一些情况,猜想这“淡化”两字并不是要一般地简化语法教学,而是要把某些语法体系中的烦琐无用的东西省掉,好让重要部分显得格外明确突出。我把这一看法向人说出,想不到会传了出去,以至《语文学习》竟派人来和我联系,要我谈一谈对“淡化语法教学”的看法。
