北京有色冶金设计研究总院(英文缩写为 ENFI)创建于1953年2月,是一个以工程设计、科学研究、技术咨询、工程承包及工程监理为主的综合性设计、科研部门。自建院以来,北京有色冶金设计研究总院为我国有色金属工业的发展和合理布局作出了历史性的贡献。由该院设计的生产铜、铅、锌、锡、镍、钴、钼、黄金、稀有金属、稀土金属和半导体材料的工矿企业遍布我国东北、华北、西北、华东、中南、西南和中原地区。这些工矿企业目前已成为中央和地方的骨干企业,总的生产能力占全国有色金属工业生产能力的50%以上。
Founded in February 1953, Beijing Nonferrous Metallurgy Design and Research Institute (abbreviated as ENFI) is a comprehensive design and scientific research department mainly engaged in engineering design, scientific research, technical consultation, project contracting and project supervision. Since its establishment, Beijing Nonferrous Metallurgical Design and Research Institute made a historic contribution to the development and rational layout of China’s non-ferrous metals industry. The industrial and mining enterprises designed by this institute produce copper, lead, zinc, tin, nickel, cobalt, molybdenum, gold, rare metals, rare earth metals and semiconductors in northeast, north, northwest, east, southwest, southwest and central China. These industrial and mining enterprises have now become the backbone enterprises of the central and local governments and their total production capacity accounts for over 50% of the national non-ferrous metal industry’s production capacity.
