画家林军先生,1921年生于山西省平陆县。在青年时代的1937年就投身革命,1940年进延安鲁迅艺术文学院美术系学习,并于同年在延安加入中国共产党。1943年毕业后,就参加了八路军,在人民军队从事宣传教育和美术创作活动。解放战争期间,林军先生随部队南下成都后,在军管会文艺处工作。1950年调西南军区政治部任《西南画报》社副主
Painter Mr. Lin Jun, born in 1921 in Pinglu County, Shanxi Province. In 1937 in youth, he devoted himself to the revolution. In 1940, he studied at the Art Department of Lu Xun Academy of Art in Yan’an and joined the Communist Party of China in Yan’an in the same year. After graduating in 1943, he joined the Eighth Route Army and engaged in propaganda, education and art creation activities in the People’s Army. During the war of liberation, Mr. Lin Jun worked with the Corps of Literature and Art Department as his troops went south to Chengdu. 1950 Southwest Military Region Political Department transferred “Southwest Pictorial” deputy chief
