Since the 20th century, world population growth has been at an unprecedented peak. After the 1980s, the population growth rate is still fast. In addition to the death toll, the world adds about 210,000 people per minute and 77 million people each year. This is a rather staggering rate of growth. By mid-1996, there had been 576,775 people on Earth. Now, the world’s population has exceeded 6 billion. The rapid population growth has brought tremendous pressure on the world’s natural geographical environment, making the living space of human beings more and more crowded. At present, the average density of the world’s population is 43 per square kilometer. If the current rate of development continues, by the year 2600, taking into account all the land on the earth, each covers an area of less than 1 square meter on average. If so, how will human beings make a living in the future? In the vast space, only the earth is known to raise human beings. Therefore, starting from the reality, mankind should consider its own survival and development issues within the limited space of the earth.
