越剧《李清照》与昆曲《班昭》,是怀臻剧作的姊妹篇。主人公都是我国文化史上著名的女才人。戏的主旨也有共同点,班昭完成了父兄未竟的《汉书》修撰,李清照帮助丈夫使《金石录》得以传世,都张扬了古代知识分子的文化使命感。虽然两出戏都是悲剧,在情节处理上甚至略有“靠色”,但给我的感受还是不同的。《班昭》显得凝重,作者在人格对比的描写中,融入了深切的现实感受,颇能触及灵魂,引发思考。《李清照》比较客观化,作者选择主人公的不朽词作《如梦令》、《忆吹萧》、《声声慢》等,为戏剧场面营造贴切的诗意氛围,由清新婉丽转向惨淡悲凉,最后归入平淡,重在品味人生。 从史实与艺术虚构的关系来看,班昭的史料甚
