弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫是二十世纪杰出的英国小说家,是公认的英美女性主义文学的先驱,《到灯塔去》是其代表作之一,这部小说中存在着多种对立和冲突关系,其中包括典型的男性特质和女性特质的对立和拉姆齐夫妇间关系的对立等。笔者分别从不同人物间的对立关系和双性同体理论在小说中的体现以及小说的隐含意义角度出发对小说进行了分析,得出以下结论:人们不能一味地追求利益,人与人之间能够做到相互理解和关爱、和谐地相处。作为女性,应该从自身的特性出发,看清自身的优缺点,不断挑战自己,发现自己独特的魅力和价值,为实现个人价值和促进社会的和谐贡献自己的力量。
