Former Nanjing University professor Liu Dunzhen (1897 ~ 1968) studied in Japan in his early years. After returning to China in the 1920s, he started to do some education and design. With his lifelong energies, he studied ancient architecture and classical gardens in China, keeping pace with Mr. Liang Sicheng.
