一、从建筑艺术的时代性与民族性谈起把时代感与民族化统一起来,并非轻而易举。这里,既需要有正确的理论指导,也需要设计者付出艰辛的创造性劳动;同时,还须认识到,这是一个较长的历史过程。时代感,民族风格都不是一朝一夕所能形成的,两者都是历史概念,都有自己的历史范畴。在室内设计实践中,既不能漠视时代性,也不能忽视民族性,要力求做到两者的统一。既要认真对待,大胆尝试,勇于探求;又不能操之过急,简单行事,要允许有反复。

The sense of the times and the national style can not be formed overnight. Both are historical concepts and have their own historical scope. In the interior design practice, we can neither ignore the times nor neglect the nationality, we should strive to achieve the unity of the two. It is necessary to take it seriously, make bold attempts, and have the courage to search for it. We must not act too quickly and simply, and allow repetitions.
