缸窑热电厂是专为向各瓷厂集中供热而兴建的。该热电厂于1991年引进了粉煤灰彩色地面砖生产技术和设备,1992年初试制成功正式投产。产品各项指标均达到国家《企业标准》如抗压强度为24MPa(标准为大于20MPa),抗折强度为4.6MPa(标准为大于4.5MPa)、粘合力、抗磨率,融冻性和吸水率等性能都符合要求。蒸养时间越长,产品强度越高。用粉煤灰做彩色地面砖的底层可节省水泥70％以上,成本低于同类水泥制品,重量比水泥制品低10％左右。利用热电厂的余热蒸汽100℃可以常期养护不必外加锅炉,粉煤灰随排自用长期经济效益高。产品售价0.50元/块,每块砖比北京低0.47
