周予同先生生于1898年1月,浙江瑞安人。1916年,他以第一名考进北京高等师范学校,五年后又以第一名毕业于该校国文部,自此就献身于社会科学的研究与教育事业,共达六十年。他曾历任商务印书馆《教育杂志》主编,安徽大学教授、中文系主任兼文学院院长,暨南大学教授、历史系主任兼南洋研究馆主任,开明书店编辑兼襄理,复旦大学教授、史地系主任、副教务长,上海社会科学院历史研究所
Mr. Zhou Yu Tong was born in January 1898, Zhejiang Ryan people. In 1916, he took the first place in the Higher Normal School in Beijing and five years later graduated first in the department of Chinese Literature at the school. From then on, he devoted himself to social science research and education for a total of 60 years. He has served as the chief editor of the Commercial Press “Education Magazine”, Anhui University professor, director of the Chinese Department and Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Jinan University professor, director of history and director of the South China Research Institute, Kaiming Bookstore editor and assistant professor, Fudan University, history Dean, Deputy Provost, Institute of History, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences
