造型艺术从早期人类的模仿开始,经历了从写实到抽象的阶段。随着社会的发展,造型艺术的发展从再现到表现,体现了人们对内心情感的关注。抽象艺术正是对事物的归纳和简化,是对客观对象的本质表达。这种方式可以更直观的表达造型艺术家们的意识和情感。20世纪艺术的审美特征之一就是抽象。不论是中国绘画还是西方绘画,都是从现实空间获得灵感,并且在现实空间的美感中提炼出点、线、面等元素作为表达情感和审美的手段。吸取现代主义审美中的抽象因素,对当代艺术作品创作的知觉分析和理性表达至关重要。
