2009年12月17日-21日,第14届ATCM(Asian Technology Conference in Mathematics)在北京师范大学召开.来自中国和世界各地十几个国家和地区的专家、学者和数学教师共四百多人参加了本次会议.1995年,第一届ATCM在新加坡国立教育学院举行,到2009年止,ATCM已经在不同国家和地区的14所大学成功举办.ATCM的宗旨是促进现代技术在数学教学以及数学研究中的应用.在本次会议中,与会者分别就现代技术如何探索和发现数学、如何帮助学生理解数学,包括图形计算器在数学教学中的使用等方面展示了各自的研究成果.本刊选登了本次会议的两篇大会报告以飨读者.一篇是美国Radford大学教授、ATCM的发起人杨玮琦先生的大会报告的部分内容;另一篇是阿拉伯联合酋长国纽约科技研究所的Miroslaw Majewski教授与华东师范大学数学系王继延教授的大会报告的全文缩写.
The 14th ATCM (Asian Technology Conference in Mathematics) was held at Beijing Normal University from December 17 to December 21, 2009. More than 400 experts, scholars and math teachers from more than 10 countries and regions in China and around the world The first ATCM was held at the National Institute of Education in Singapore in 1995 and has been successfully held in 14 universities in different countries and regions by 2009. The purpose of the AATCM is to promote the use of modern technology in mathematics teaching and Application of Mathematics Research In this conference, participants present their respective research results on how modern technology can explore and discover math, how to help students understand math, including the use of graphical calculators in math teaching. Published two conference reports of the conference to readers.One is a part of General Assembly report of Professor Yang Weiqi, a professor at Radford University in the United States and an initiator of ATCM; the other is Miroslaw of the New York Institute of Technology in the United Arab Emirates.
