次贷危机引起的全球经济衰退在2008年进一步扩大。经济危机对美国医药市场的影响不可小觑,非常时期民众医疗开支显著减少。在同时并存的非专利药物需求增长显著及获批上市新药销售收入低迷等不利因素的多重影响下,美国2008年处方药销售金额增长再创新低,仅为1.36%。
The global economic recession caused by the subprime mortgage crisis expanded further in 2008. The impact of the economic crisis on the U.S. pharmaceutical market can not be underestimated. People’s health care expenditures have dropped significantly in times of crisis. Under the simultaneous influence of the coexisting growth in demand for generic drugs and the sluggish sales revenue of newly approved drugs in the market, the sales of prescription drugs in the United States hit a new record low of 1.36% in 2008.
