据有关部门调查,截止去年12月末止,我市共有第二产业企业单位21074家,占全市基本单位总数的 46.9%。比1996年末统计数下降10.6个百分点。在2万余家基本单位中,超过1000家的有6个行业。占第一位的是金属和非金属制造业计11245家,占企业总数53.4%;第二位是化工、医药行业计3231家,占总数15.3%;第三位是纺织、服装行业计2020家,占9.6%;其他行业依次为食品行业计1125家,占5.3%;建筑业1062家,占5%;文教制品及印刷业计1055家,占5%。
