Objective To investigate the expression of VEGF, F1t1 and P53 in gastric cancer. Methods SABC immunohistochemistry was used to study the relationship between the expression of VEGF, F1t1 and P53 in gastric cancer, the growth, metastasis, clinicopathological features and prognosis of gastric cancer. Results The expression of VEGF in gastric cancer was related to the depth of tumor invasion (P <0.01). P53 expression correlated with lymphatic metastasis (P <0.05). There was a positive correlation between VEGF and F1t1 expression (P <0.05). The factors that influence the prognosis of gastric cancer are clinicopathologic stage, VEGF expression, tumor invasion depth and operation mode. Kaplan-Meier study showed that the expression of VEGF was correlated with the prognosis of gastric cancer (P <0.05), while the expression of F1t1 and P53 had no correlation with the prognosis (P <0.05). Conclusion The detection of VEGF and P53 in gastric cancer patients is of great significance.
