日本蜡蚧为害苹果、梨、柑桔等多种果树。近年来在成都、金堂等地逐渐发展,个别果园受害严重,满树白蚧黑烟,树势衰弱,结果大大减少,有的果树甚至死亡,应及早防治,阻止蔓延。根据我们1971——1973年在成都的观察,日本蜡蚧在苹果树上一年发生一代,比较整齐,是防治的有利条件。日本蜡蚧以受精雌虫越冬。五、六月开始产卵,六、七月大量孵化,七月下旬基本孵化完毕。每雌虫产卵量大,初孵化的幼虫紫红色,以后分泌出白色蜡壳,周围有角
