The 3rd International Rice Genetics Conference was held in Manila, Philippines, from 15 to 20 October 1995. Over 500 delegates from 29 countries attended the conference and 57 representatives from China attended the conference. At the meeting published 314 papers. Compared with the previous two sessions. The meeting has two characteristics: First, there are many delegates attending the meeting, showing interest in rice genetics and secondly, meeting topics are turned from classical inheritance to molecular inheritance.
