对穷人家的孩子来说,大城市的街道既是活动的场地又是生活斗争的舞台,这在哥伦比亚是再典型不过的了。成千上万个衣衫褴褛的流浪儿几乎得不到家庭、教会、学校或国家传统机构的任何资助,在大道上游荡,在露天餐馆里乞讨,在公共喷水池中洗澡,或者索性蜷缩在一起睡觉。有时,孩子们会尾随着迷途的狗四处溜跶,这种情景屡见不鲜。街头流浪儿已成为哥伦比亚社会不可忽视的一部分。最近国家芭蕾舞团甚至上演了一个以流浪儿生活为主题的节目。在首都波哥大,电台也一直在播放同一主题的连续广播剧。
For the children of poor families, the streets of metropolitan areas are both a venue for events and a stage for life struggles, which is more typical in Colombia. Thousands of ragged street children barely receive any funding from families, churches, schools or traditional national institutions, wandering the streets, begging in open-air restaurants, bathing in public jets, or simply huddled together to sleep . Sometimes it’s not uncommon for children to stroll around lost dogs. Street children have become an integral part of Colombian society. The National Ballet recently even staged a program based on street children’s life. In the capital city of Bogotá, the radio has also been broadcasting serials on the same subject.
