《共和国经济大厦的柱石——中国大中型工业企业五百家》之一的玉林柴油机总厂(简称“玉柴”),是机械电子工业部定点生产车用柴油机的大型骨干企业和国家二级企业。建于1951年,占地面积84.3万m~2,固定资产1.3亿元,现有职工人数5600人,1990年产销达1.9亿元,1991年产销将超3亿元。玉柴原主导产品6105型柴油机是与机电部上海内燃机研究所共同开发的一种节能型柴油机,年产量1.5万台,主要作为“二汽”集团的“东风”“一汽”集团的“解放”汽车及其他中吨位
Yulin Diesel Engine Plant (“Yuchai”), one of the pillar of the Republic Economic Building, one of the 500 largest medium and large-sized industrial enterprises in China, is a large-scale backbone enterprise designated by the Ministry of Machinery and Electronic Industry for the production of diesel engines for vehicles and a national second- enterprise. Built in 1951, covers an area of 843,000 m ~ 2, fixed assets 130 million yuan, the existing number of 5,600 employees, production and sales in 1990 reached 190 million yuan, 1991 production and marketing will exceed 300 million yuan. The main product of Yuchai original 6105 diesel engine is a kind of energy-saving diesel engine developed jointly with the Shanghai Internal Combustion Engine Research Institute of the Ministry of Electrical and Mechanical Equipment.
