This article focuses on the lessons learned and design weaknesses in the running process of the gigantic gate and running parts of the first-line Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. Further elaborate the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal second-line locks and type plate Miter gate design improvements.
