我并不试图否定传统艺术。相反,我很高兴看到艺术得到更大的发展,但我们必须象对其它媒介那样对待艺术。而艺术也必须象其它媒介那样运作。它将面对更多的课题,包括观众范围的扩大、先进技术的应用——不是必要的技术知识,但只有靠科技——才能去挑战和去享受。艺术必须开发一种清楚易懂的语言,以帮助它自己面对外界的事物。它必须消除艺术与娱乐之间的界限。
I do not try to deny traditional art. On the contrary, I am happy to see the development of the arts get bigger, but we must treat the arts as other media do. And art must work just like other media. It will face more topics, including the expansion of the audience, the application of advanced technology - not the necessary technical knowledge, but only by technology - to challenge and enjoy. Art must develop a clear and understandable language to help it face the outside world. It must eliminate the line between art and entertainment.
