词汇是构成语言的三大要素之一,是语言的基本材料,离开了词汇,人们就无法正确地表达思想。对于语言学习者而言,没有足够的词汇就不能有效地进行听、说、读、写,无法有效地运用语言进行交际。《英语课程标准》对高中学生的词汇学习和掌握做出了具体明确的规定:"运用词汇理解和表达不同的功能、意图和态度等;运用词汇描述比较复杂的事
Vocabulary is one of the three major elements of language and is the basic material of language. Without vocabulary, people cannot express ideas correctly. For language learners, there is not enough vocabulary to effectively listen, speak, read and write, and language cannot be communicated effectively. The English Curriculum Standards provide specific and stipulated provisions for the vocabulary learning and mastery of high school students: “Use vocabulary to understand and express different functions, intentions, and attitudes; use vocabulary to describe more complicated matters.
