在近代中日关系史研究中,一直缺乏一部对中国北洋军阀统治时期即日本大正时期的中日关系进行全面研究的专著.最近,南开大学国际问题研究中心副教授娄向哲博士所著《北洋军阀与日本》一书的问世,填补了这一空白.该书由天津人民出版社出版,约22万字,起讫时间为1911至1928年,以4章篇幅分别对袁世凯、皖系、直系、奉系北洋北京政权与日本的关系进行了研究性阐述,涉及政治、经济、外交、军事等诸多方面.该书采用了大量有价值的文献资料,除第二历史档案馆的北洋档案外,有很多资料
