After years of hard work, the international status of China’s shipbuilding industry has been enhanced. The export value has continued to increase and its market share in the world has been on the rise. Despite the downturn in the shipbuilding market in recent years, the export of China’s shipbuilding products is still growing continuously. In the first three quarters of 2012, China’s shipbuilding products exports amounted to 2.206 billion U.S. dollars, a substantial increase of 16.9% over the same period of previous year. Judging from the shipbuilding industry output value of the major countries and regions in the world in 2011, Europe, South Korea, Japan and China each have their respective global output value
