Since the 1970s, oxidized ceramic materials (part of the ossicular replacement PORP, all ossicular replacement TORP) have been chosen as ideal graft for ossicular chain reconstruction because of their excellent biocompatibility. Mancini’s radioimmunoassay and immunohistochemistry were used to study the protein adsorption on the surface of oxidized ceramic implants.
