何谓英雄?《人物志》上有云:“草之精秀者为英,兽之拔群者为雄。”《文中子》上宣称:“自知者英,自胜者雄。”《辞源》中的解释则为:“识见,才能或作为非凡的人物。”关于英雄的解释如此多样,但英雄奉献人民,造福社会、推进历史的精神实质却是一致的。大富大贵者未必英雄,位卑职微者未必不英雄。真正的英雄不是哪个人能够封赐,而应获得群体的、社会的乃至历史的承认。

Large wealthy may not be a hero, who are not necessarily undeserved hero. The real hero is not which person can seal, but should be recognized by the community, society and even history.
