1.1925年8月的一天,在韶山冲的清水塘边,一个剪着短发,穿着粗布衣裳的青年妇女正在洗衣服。杨开慧,湖南长沙人,1921年加入中国共产党,以后,随毛泽东在上海、湖南、武汉等地开展工农运动。1930年因叛徒告密,杨开慧被国民党反动派逮捕。在狱中,她受尽酷刑,坚贞不屈,同年在长沙牺牲。1957年,毛泽东写了《蝶恋花·答李淑一》词,对她作了热情的赞颂和深切的怀念。
1. On the day of August 1925, a young woman with short hair and coarse cloth was washing clothes beside the clear water pond in Shaoshan. Yang Kaihui, a native of Changsha, Hunan province, joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1921 and later carried out the workers and peasants movement with Mao Zedong in Shanghai, Hunan and Wuhan. In 1930, because of a traitor’s report, Yang Kaihui was arrested by the Kuomintang reactionaries. In prison, she was tortured, steadfast and unyielding, and sacrificed in Changsha the same year. In 1957, Mao Zedong wrote a word of “Butterfly Love and Flower Li Shuyi”, praising her with deep passion and deep memory.
