为了改善普通湿润土型砂塑性和韧性较差、砂眼多等问题,以降低精度要求较高,加工余量小的薄小铸件废品率。首先,通过采用添加不同量的α-淀粉和不同水份含量进行对比试验,确定了α-淀粉的最佳加入量、作用效果最佳的水份含量等参数,大大提高了型砂的透气性、湿压强度并改善了型砂表面的综合性能。其次分析了α-淀粉与型砂中的水份反应生成水合物的机理。最后,在铸造生产上推广应用了添加α-淀粉的方法,使废品率大大降低,经济效益得到明显提高。
