(一) 激光技术20多年来的发展是令人兴奋的。它的研究工作进展之快,成果之多是科技发展史上至今最为突出的,激光技术已成为20世纪科学技术发展的重要标志。激光技术本身是一门综合技术,它又有很强的渗透性和带动性,激光通信促进了通信技术的发展;光存贮、激光打印促进了计算机技术的发展,光计算机将成为最新一代计算机;激光分离同位素将促进核技术的发展;激光印刷将引起印刷技术的革命;激光加工机床的出现成为振兴传统机床工业的希望等等。从技术进步角度来看,发展激光技术也是十分重要的。
