编者按:为认真贯彻落实中央领导同志重要指示精神,倡导深入生活提高创作水平,在纪念毛泽东同志《在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话》发表68周年前夕,追寻革命历史,重温《讲话》精神,更好地满足广大人民群众对文艺事业的新需求、新期待,根据中国文联党组要求,2010年5月至8月,中国美术家协会邀请一批国内知名美术家深入江西井冈山、瑞金,陕西延安,贵州遵义,甘肃会宁、腊子口,以及湖南韶山、河北西柏坡等著名革命纪念地开展采风创作活动,记录革命纪念地的历史和今天,推出一批反映伟大时代巨变、描绘人民群众精神图谱的思想性、艺术性相统一的文艺精品,向明年中国共产党成立90周年献礼。
